Mondsee am Mondsee, Basilika St. Michael
Musikveranstaltung, Sonstige Musikveranstaltung

Heinrich Ignaz Franz Biber (1644–1704) was, especially for Salzburg,
. To forget him would be just as
as unforgivable as no longer performing Mozart’s music. One of
masterpieces by Biber takes center stage in our program:
Requiem in F minor.

Two ensembles are reuniting after a very successful debut
: COR OS ANIMA—now known for its moving
and profound musical language combined with captivating intensity—
performs with the young, up-and-coming vocal ensemble SalCanto,
founded and sensitively directed by Gerrit Stadlbauer.

A group of young soloists who are deeply engaged in performance practice
, as well as an instrumental ensemble playing on period instruments
led by concertmaster Magdalena Waldauf—all of them
people with great love, passion, and professionalism, round out
the performers.

Norbert Brandauer is known for a particular approach to reviving early Baroque music
and interpreting it in a way that makes it
times.
To experience the desired “side effects,”
we strongly recommend
attend this concert.

We very much look forward to seeing you there!
