Nearly ten years have passed since a distinctly charming voice was silenced far too early.
Roger Cicero, the juggler between jazz, blues, and pop, has long deserved a tribute.
It took ten years, but now the time is ripe, says Shlomit Butbul. Growing up in the family's jazz club, she developed this program out of love for his unique arrangements, interpretations, and distinctive sound.

Shlomit Butbul:
Jazz – for me means childhood-heart-freedom. Bebop jazz, which has always been unconventional, has always touched me the most – it became a fixed part of my life feeling and of course the big band sound that the audience feels easily in their hearts, warm in their bodies. It's about love that works, that doesn't work – about living and loving, a dream and truth.

Roger Cicero – his humble, heartfelt, charming authenticity is very close to me. An artist who touches, can touch and wanted to... just as I want. Music should always be real and authentic. I felt this with Roger when I invited him to perform in my jazz club in Luxembourg.

Unfortunately, he passed away exactly ten years ago – and I want to honor him, celebrate his creativity – give a place of honor to my origins.

And perhaps recommend a wonderful artist to many people (again).

Shlomit Butbul 
Singer, actress, and complete vocal coach. Born in Israel, raised in Vienna. Graduated from MUK Vienna with honors. Butbul operates on many different cultural levels, always striving to remain true to herself.
Her musicians are part of the elite of the Austrian music scene and are known for their own music projects, as well as for being musicians in many well-known projects in the Austrian music scene.
