"The Eternal Bachelor" (Beethoven on the 200th Anniversary of His Death)

Beethoven200; Word & Tone

As an artist, Beethoven was always surrounded by many different women, and although he had some loves, he remained unmarried throughout his life to his regret. Correspondence with the women in his daily life reveals a very personal side of the composer, and his letter to the "Immortal Beloved," which was only discovered after his death, is still one of the most extraordinary documents from Beethoven's private life. Join Gerti Drassl, Daniel Keberle, and the Sonare String Quartet on an exciting journey through music history.
