Global Kryner are back. The band that once reinvented the Oberkrainer sound with world hits, jazz, and unbridled musical wit is embarking on a fresh chapter with "2nd Love." With familiar faces, new voices, and a lot of musical curiosity, new "Verkrynerungen" are being created along with original songs for the first time.

When Global Kryner presented their first CD in 2004, the music world was turned upside down. It was love at first sight. The idea was as simple as it was genius: take the legendary Oberkrainer sound of Slavko Avsenik, blend it with world hits, add a touch of jazz and plenty of musical flair, and there you have it. The Süddeutsche Zeitung was ecstatic and even described it as a "Jack-of-all-trades" in music. And with "verkrynern," a new verb was created.

What followed was a ride through all radio and TV formats, rarely seen before. Hundreds of concerts in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Benelux, France, Italy, Slovenia, Croatia, Serbia, Ukraine, all the way to Mexico. After intense and demanding years of touring life, the band bid farewell to the stage in 2013.

But the love has never faded. On the contrary. Now comes: Global Kryner "2nd Love"!

Already in summer 2024, the Global Kryner, led by music cabaret artist and clarinetist Christof Spörk and Oberkrainer accordion veteran Anton Sauprügl, decided to make a fresh start. Trombonist and new fish farmer Martin Temmel didn't need to be asked twice. Markus Pechmann, now one of the country's most sought-after jazz trumpeters, engaged the truly remarkable vocalist Miriam Kulmer. Additionally, "Mr. Groove," jazz guitarist and singer-songwriter Andreas Haidecker, joined the band.

But beware: there will be no mindless repetition of old hits. The band is diligently preparing for their comeback. New typical "Verkrynerungen" must be included, of course! But this time, there will also be original songs to listen to. One can be curious.

All prepared with a lot of love, just not for the first time, but rather "2nd Love"!
