PERMACULTURE
or Time, Blueprint, Music, Nature, and Me
At the Schlossgalerie Schärding, artist Miriam Schwack Koo offers a glimpse into her work in an exhibition titled “Permaculture.” Permaculture means “sustainable cultivation”: it involves working with the materials that are available, which are continually reintroduced into the creative process in new and varied ways. Like compost, these materials act as fertilizer and nourish new works of art. “Ultimately, art remains an open-ended process for me: a tapestry of materials, intuition, vulnerability, and insight,” says the artist.
The exhibition features paintings combined with blue-prints and drawings.
Miriam Schwack Koo, born in Braunau in 1969, now lives as a painter and draftsman in Burgenland, in a historic indigo-blue print workshop.
