Dinosaur Show: Prehistoric Life Brought to Life with High Tech
The new, family-friendly dinosaur show brings prehistoric life to life right before the audience’s eyes using state-of-the-art technology.
The 180-million-year history of the dinosaurs is presented in a vivid and literally lifelike way: Computer-controlled, lifelike dinosaur figures and human performers in elaborate dinosaur costumes weighing up to 40 kilograms bring the prehistoric era to life.
A paleontologist provides details and explanations about the dinosaurs’ lives, diets, and hunting habits as the host guides the audience through the live show, which combines special effects, excitement, and entertainment.
Scientific insights into the age of the ancient reptiles are thus conveyed in a vivid and entertaining way.
Science and Entertainment
The appearance and movements of the free-roaming, animatronic-controlled dinosaurs are faithfully based on scientific findings.
The show even offers a glimpse into the “nursery” of these prehistoric giants:
A baby dinosaur hatches from its egg. You can even pet a Brachiosaurus and a Tyrannosaurus rex (T-Rex). Scientists estimate that the Brachiosaurus weighed up to 40 metric tons—that’s 40 small cars on just four legs. With its 1.5-meter-long skull and teeth up to 30 centimeters long, the T. rex was one of the largest land predators ever to live on Earth.
With its stomping and roaring, the T. rex drowns out the audience’s applause and horrified screams. However, bloodthirsty monsters are nowhere to be seen in the show. Instead, the show turns the study of creatures and habitats from the geological past (paleontology) into an entertaining and thrilling experience.
