As a child, Sandra Hesch preferred to express her feelings through melodies rather than in a diary. Today, about one million people on TikTok and Instagram tune in to hear the 25-year-old from Upper Austria talk about her everyday life as a singer. In the summer of 2025, she turned “hot for no reason”—a TikTok trend—into a Top 5 trending sound in the blink of an eye; her biggest track to date, “Hey Hübscher,” has over three million Spotify streams. Then came her performance at the Reeperbahn Festival in Hamburg, followed by a contract with Sony Music and a move to Berlin to devote herself entirely to music.

Her German-language songs feature wordplay, a chorus you can sing along to, and often a clear target audience. In “Liebling,” “Letzte Warnung,” and “Traumfrau,” she provocatively holds up a mirror to men and gender stereotypes; “Vorsichtig zerbrechlich!” is about vulnerability and intense emotions. And in “LG, dein Zukunfts-Ich” and “Blaues Kleid,” she speaks openly about eating disorders and sexual harassment. Self-doubt and strength often coexist in her songs, and it is precisely this that resonates with a community that has long since outgrown the confines of cell phone screens.

On stage, she’s about more than just having a good time: her concerts are meant to be a safe space—a place where people can talk openly about serious experiences and give each other strength. “For me, it’s first and foremost about empowerment—girls support girls! I’m happy when my songs can encourage others and give them more self-confidence,” says Hesch. After club shows, festivals, and open-air concerts, the “Liebling(s)” tour in May 2026 was largely sold out, and the next leg through Germany and Austria—named after her summer anthem, “Kommst du mit?”—will follow this fall. In her home state, the answer probably won’t be long in coming.
