On this nature excursion, participants will explore the local aquatic landscape of the Dürren Ager and learn about its ecological significance. Special attention will be given to the beaver as a habitat shaper and its contribution to biodiversity. In addition to insights into nature and water conservation, there will be time to talk with the expert—and with a little luck, you might even spot a beaver.

Hike Along the Dürren Ager

This nature hike along the Dürren Ager takes participants through a fascinating aquatic landscape and highlights the great ecological importance of this habitat. The guided tour explains the waterway’s inflows and outflows, its role in the natural ecosystem, and key aspects of nature and water conservation.

A key focus is on the beaver as a natural habitat developer. The tour vividly demonstrates how the beaver’s activities transform the aquatic landscape and contribute to promoting regional biodiversity. In addition to fostering an understanding of ecological relationships, the hike provides ample opportunity for questions and expert discussion with the guide. With a little luck, the excursion will also offer the opportunity to observe beavers in their natural habitat.
