Alpine Water Through the Ages of (Climate) Change and Its Significance for Lake Attersee

In this multivision show, photographer Bernd Ritschel and author Michael Ruhland take the audience on a journey through the Alps. Over many years, Bernd Ritschel has documented the melting of the glaciers and the tangible effects on the water balance for both people and nature.

Together with Christian and Felix Neureuther, the presenters accompanied scientists, environmentalists, mountain farmers, and fishermen. The event highlights the changes affecting rivers, lakes, agriculture, and tourism; explores the implications for Lake Attersee; and presents possible solutions for the future. Stunning photographs of mountain lakes, waterfalls, and springs are combined with personal experiences to create an inspiring plea for the preservation of Alpine nature.
