As they enter the home stretch of a ten-year journey of heroism together, Markus Poschner and the Bruckner Orchestra Linz are once again putting on a spectacular show: Béla Bartók’s Concerto for Orchestra is one of the absolute showpieces of the orchestral repertoire and has long held a prominent place on Markus Poschner’s list of masterpieces he still absolutely must perform with the BOL. No less heroic is the next phase of the BOL’s two-season Beethoven cycle with its departing chief conductor.
