An inspiring film that shows a different side of Afghanistan. Film screening followed by a discussion.
The idea of a girl learning to skateboard in Kabul seems impossible. The challenge—not just for her, but for the society around her—seems insurmountable. But with every practice session, the girls get better: their confidence in their own bodies and abilities grows. Suddenly, it no longer seems so far-fetched for two sisters to pursue an education. This inspiring film, which shows a different side of Afghanistan, won an Oscar this year for its directors, Caroline Dysinger and Zamarin Wahdat. A discussion will follow the screening.Kärntnerstraße 26, 4020 Linz
