A reading and song recital dedicated to the poet, satirist, and journalist Heinrich Heine, featuring rising star Konstantin Krimmel
The poet, satirist, and journalist Heinrich Heine is considered one of the most important thinkers of the 19th century, whose numerous poems also had a decisive influence on the history of music—as many composers set his texts to music, including Franz Liszt, Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy, Robert Schumann, and Franz Schubert. While narrator Maren Ulrich reads excerpts from various prose works by Heine, baritone Konstantin Krimmel lends his voice to selected Heine songs. As a member of the Bavarian State Opera ensemble, he recently enjoyed tremendous success—and not just as Don Giovanni. His lyrical, agile, yet equally rich and colorful baritone voice makes him the ideal lieder singer, captivating the audience with the highest technical brilliance and a nuanced interpretation of the text. He is accompanied with great synergy by the Israeli-South African pianist Ammiel Bushakevitz at the piano.Untere Donaulände 7, 4010 Linz
