Just Sing!: Workshop at the Family Festival during the Brucknerfest with Sabine Rechberger

Join the new choir for everyone at the Brucknerhaus! In German language.

Let's just sing together! That pretty much says it all: Once a month, leave your everyday life behind, gather in the Middle Hall of the Brucknerhaus, warm up your vocal cords for two hours under the guidance of singer and choir director Sabine Rechberger, and then wrap up the evening with drinks and snacks in a cozy atmosphere. The focus is on the shared joy of singing and connecting with like-minded people: Everyone is welcome, whether you’re a longtime choir member, only sing in the shower, or have no singing experience at all. We’ll sing songs ranging from Anton Bruckner to the Beach Boys, which reveal themselves in ever-changing ways through rhythm, language, and shared breathing. Before, after, and in between, there’s plenty of time to experiment with the possibilities of your own voice.

Curious? As part of the family festival at the Brucknerfest on September 27, 2026, two 30-minute workshops (at 12:45 p.m. and 2:30 p.m.) with Sabine Rechberger will take place in the old ticket foyer, where you can try out the format.

Rehearsals will then take place once a month on Thursdays from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the Middle Hall of the Brucknerhaus. No knowledge of music notation or prior experience is required, and regular attendance is not mandatory: If you can’t make it one time, you can simply join us on another date, whenever you’d like.
