In a series of short concerts, guitarist and violinist Severin Trogbacher will perform selected movements, themes, and melodies from Bruckner's symphonies throughout Linz.
This is where the music comes alive. It goes without saying that the Brucknerhaus Linz is a place where musical energy converges and intensifies. It follows naturally, then, that the Brucknerfest Linz aims to make this music audible and tangible beyond the concert hall, throughout the city and the region. Just as Anton Bruckner strolled through the alleys and streets of Linz during his time as organist at the Stadtpfarrkirche and the Old Cathedral, his symphonies are venturing out into the city this year when Severin Trogbacher presents them in his very own form as “Pocket Symphony.” In short concerts, selected movements, motifs, and melodies from Bruckner’s symphonies will be performed, bringing the extraordinary into everyday life. What makes this special is that the music comes to you—at selected locations in Linz where people gather, as well as in hospitals, nursing homes, and other institutions. So during the Bruckner Festival, it’s worth listening closely as you make your way through the city.
