The band project Alpen & Glühen, initiated by the internationally renowned trumpetvirtuoso and stylistic jack-of-all-trades Thomas Gansch is a band project that sees itself as a supergroup of outstanding musicians who have come together for this project to combine their diverse musical backgrounds into an aesthetically multifaceted ensemble. Here, folk music traditions meet jazz, delicate musicianship meets rousing improvisations, and a Boarischer with plenty of humorous groove meets an Indian raga translated into an Austrian style.
