Rhythm Absurd I

To mark the closing of the exhibition *FLOODED* by Ilona Ágnes Tömő and Josef Trattner, the Pulsar Ensemble will perform compositions by Johannes Maria Staud, John Cage, and others.

These will be complemented by improvisations for percussion ensembles. Dancer Sonja Stojanović’s performance adds an expressive, physical, and spatially oriented realm of movement to the acoustic layers of the percussion. In the concert, sound and movement expand upon the expansive and space-defining works of Tömő and Trattner, which range from strict rhythms to chaotic overlays.

The potential of the space and the works installed within it are explored acoustically, visually, and artistically.
