A Musical Easter Season with Bach at the Abbey.
The heavens rejoice, the earth exults.The music of Johann Sebastian Bach has long been a recurring focus of the Stiftsmusik. After the Christmas Oratorio in 2023, things quieted down a bit for the Thomas Cantor in Schlägl. Now we’re picking up where we left off: Festive music for the Easter season will be performed with the Cantata BWV 31 and the opening movement of Orchestral Suite No. 2, BWV 1069.
