Familiar and Unfamiliar Pieces from the "Gotteslob"

Discover the joy of singing together.

Ever since humans have existed, they have also sung. Whether in joy or sorrow, at work or at play, during worship or at the tavern: singing is a fundamental constant of human existence. That is why singing is also a central and vital aspect of our worship services! After all, to sing, one must raise one’s voice; it requires significantly more physical effort than ordinary speech. That is precisely why, for various reasons, it is not always easy for us! Schlägl Abbey currently has the unique situation of having three “trained musicians” on site who work professionally with the voice. Take advantage of their expertise! Between the Sunday services, we’ll set aside 15–20 minutes to explore songs from our hymnal, “Gotteslob,” and, in doing so, to explore our voices. Listeners are, of course, welcome too!
