Immerse yourself in the power of nature.
As far back as ancient times, Pliny the Elder described spending time in forests as beneficial to one’s health. In Japan, “Shinrin-yoku”—literally translated as “forest bathing”—has emerged. But this term encompasses more than just a walk in nature: Mindfulness and awareness exercises accompany our time in nature. Christian spirituality, too, recognizes the wonder of God’s creation, as seen in the great Psalm of Creation, Psalm 104, which observes and praises an aspect of creation in each verse. As we walk, sit, observe, and listen, we want to immerse ourselves in creation with all our senses and, in doing so, get to know a part of ourselves. Please bring a snack and drinks, as well as sturdy shoes, since we’ll be venturing off the beaten path.Schlägl 1, 4160 Aigen-Schlägl
