Liachtbratl Monday is one of the Salzkammergut’s most special traditions. For generations, on the first Monday after Michaelmas, people have gathered to eat, celebrate, and strengthen their ties to the region. The custom has its origins in the old craft guilds: After the summer months, artisans were once again allowed to work by candlelight and celebrated this occasion with a special meal.
At the Landhaus zu Appesbach, this tradition lives on to this day. Enjoy a classic Liachtbratl and spend delightful hours on Lake Wolfgang, where regional cuisine, the tranquility of the lake, and living traditions come together in a special way.
