Female Attention

The exhibition brings together four female artists whose works explore different forms of perception, visibility, and social attribution.

At the heart of the exhibition is the question of how attention arises, is directed, and is experienced—personally, through the media, politically, and physically.

The works by Elisa Andessner, Silvia Berndorfer, Katharina Karner, and Deborah Sengl offer multifaceted perspectives on female presence in art and society. Moving between performance and intimacy, observation and self-assertion, their works explore role models, identity, social mechanisms, and emotional states.

The gaze—both one’s own and that of others—becomes the central medium of this exploration.
