Neuhaus on the Move - Hiking and Biking for a Good Cause

Get active together and do some good—under this motto, the Plöcking Volunteer Fire Department invites you to “Neuhaus Bewegt” on August 8, 2026. Whether you choose a leisurely hike or a bike ride, every participant supports Kinderkrebshilfe Oberösterreich, as all entry fees will be donated to this worthy cause. Look forward to a day of physical activity filled with community, exercise, and solidarity in action.

Under the motto “We combine exercise with a good cause,” the Plöcking Volunteer Fire Department is hosting two charity events to benefit Kinderkrebshilfe Oberösterreich. 100% of all entry fees will be donated to the organization.

Charity Hike

Start time: 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Finish time: 6:00 p.m.
Entry fee: €2.00 per person
Start: Neuhauserfest

There are two varied hiking routes to choose from:

  • Long route: 14.96 km
  • Short route: 7.70 km

Registration takes place on-site.

Important Information:

  • The event is covered by liability insurance through the ÖVV.
  • The IVV Hiking Day will take place regardless of the weather.
  • Smoking in the forest is prohibited.
  • No group discounts are offered.
  • Shower facilities are available.

Charity Bike Ride

Start: 4:00 p.m.
Registration: starting at 3:00 PM on-site
End: 7:00 p.m.
Entry fee: €15.00 per person
Start: Neuhauserfest

Anyone can participate—whether you’re a pro, a recreational rider, a family, a group of friends, or a club. The type of bike doesn’t matter either: road bike, e-bike, mountain bike, or handbike—everyone is welcome.

The race takes place on a 6.97-kilometer loop, and each participant decides for themselves how many laps to complete.

Awards and raffle:

Prize for the largest participating group

Prize for the most laps completed

Raffle for three attractive prizes among all cyclists

Important Information:

  • The circuit runs along public roads that are not closed to traffic—traffic regulations (StVO) apply.
  • Helmets are required.
  • Shower facilities are available.

Donation Presentation & Neuhauserfest

8:00 p.m. – Official donation presentation to the Upper Austrian Children’s Cancer Foundation

A special bonus: Admission to the Neuhauserfest is already included in the entry fee.

The Plöcking Volunteer Fire Department looks forward to welcoming many participants and to a day of sports filled with camaraderie, physical activity, and a spirit of generosity.
