Attersee Boat Tour: Solar Eclipse Cruise

Experience the partial solar eclipse by the lake! An evening exploration and sunset cruise on Lake Attersee with the team from the Gahberg Observatory, featuring fascinating insights into the celestial event.

In the Attersee region, the solar eclipse begins at 7:23 p.m., when the sun is still about 8 degrees above the horizon. Maximum coverage of about 88% will be reached at 8:16 p.m., but by then the sun will be only about 1 degree (that’s 2 solar diameters) above the horizon.

Special solar eclipse glasses are required to view the eclipse. These can be rented on board for a deposit of 5,-.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION: Due to weather conditions, the solar eclipse cruise can be booked online no earlier than 2 days before the cruise.

The cruise will take place only if the weather is clear.
If the trip is canceled , the ticket price will be automatically refunded.
