Barbecue Evening: Grand Opening of Gasthaus Schröcker

There’s something new happening in Schlierbach: The historic Schröcker Inn has new tenants. Bernd and Melanie Breitenberger, two Schlierbach locals through and through, are taking over the business—and they bring with them a deep passion for good food and a commitment to regional ingredients. The parents of two are already well known to many in town for their passionate work in agriculture and as direct sellers. Their promise has always been: quality, regional sourcing, and absolute transparency. A particular passion of the family is raising and processing their Duroc pigs. This results in high-quality meat and sausage specialties produced according to the highest hygiene standards in the newly renovated butcher shop—specialties where you can taste that animal welfare and craftsmanship come first. 

Bernd and Melanie are now carrying on this very philosophy at Gasthaus Schröcker. For guests, this means: authentic home-style cooking, the best products straight from the region, and an atmosphere where genuine hospitality is a top priority.

“Only the best for our guests—that’s our commitment,” emphasizes the Breitenberger family. “We’re really looking forward to welcoming both familiar and new faces to our restaurant and treating them to culinary delights.”

Bernhard Schröcker and Erika Gösweiner will remain open for you until July 12, 2026. Due to renovations, Gasthaus Schröcker will then be closed until early August—the Breitenberger family cordially invites you to the grand reopening at their first barbecue evening on August 6, 2026.
