Jeff and Emily visit their father in New Jersey. He has been living alone in a hut there since the death of his wife and tries to make his children realize that this also works. Of course, Jeff and Emily realize that the (dis)order in the apartment speaks a different language. Timothea and Lilith set off for Dublin to visit their mother. And although they have long since grown up and have their own lives, the sisters still suffer under this oppressively dominant figure. In Paris, twins Skye and Billy have to clear out the apartment of their parents who died in a plane crash. Looking through old photo albums, they finally realize how alien their parents have been to them their whole lives...
