Imperfect - The beauty of the imperfect

The new cycle of works by artist Rainer Nöbauer-Kammerer takes structural defects and the decay of 20th and 21st century architecture and buildings as its starting point.

The signs of decay, defects and injuries that occur here are transferred into visual art formats in a pictorial and sculptural manner.

IMPERFEKT consciously transfers the - usually negatively evaluated - forms and aesthetic qualities of structural defects and damage into the artistic design of sculptures and reliefs. The cycle of works is complemented by a theoretical examination in close collaboration with the architecture and art historian Dr. Georg Wilbertz.

Opening: Tuesday, May 26, 2026, 7 pm
Finissage: Friday, 26.6.2026, 3-6 pm the artist will be present.
Concert by Desaster II (Klangruinen) of the music section at 7pm
