Festive weekend

In 2026, the Vorchdorf volunteer fire department can look back on an impressive 150-year history. Since its foundation in 1876, the Vorchdorf fire department has stood for operational readiness, comradeship and service to others. For generations, numerous members have contributed to the protection of the population with great commitment and made the fire department an indispensable part of Vorchdorf. This special anniversary will be celebrated with a festive weekend together with guests of honour, surrounding fire departments and the population.

Ceremony & vehicle blessing
Friday June 12, 2026
The official ceremony to mark the 150th anniversary of the Vorchdorf Volunteer Fire Brigade will take place on Friday. Numerous invited guests of honor, representatives from politics and the fire department as well as the surrounding fire departments are expected to attend this festive occasion.
A special highlight of the ceremony is the ceremonial blessing of the two new emergency vehicles, the large fire engine logistics vehicle (GLF-L) and the command vehicle (KDOF)

Section fire department performance competition
Saturday, June 13, 2026
On Saturday, the section fire department performance competition takes place in the area of the Kitzmantelfabrik / Bahnhofstraße in Vorchdorf.

Numerous active and youth competition groups will put their skills and speed to the test. The public is cordially invited to watch the competitions live and cheer on the participating firefighters.

FF Vorchdorf can be viewed. Visitors will gain exciting insights into the modern technology and equipment of the Vorchdorf fire department.
