From the beginning of August, Galerie 422 will be showing a solo show by Alfred Haberpointner as part of the second Festwochen exhibition. With his wooden sculptures, the artist has been one of the most striking representatives of contemporary Austrian sculpture for years. In head sculptures, wall reliefs and object-like panel paintings, he explores fundamental sculptural parameters such as volume, weight and proportion. Between abstraction and figuration, the works unfold an exciting relationship between physicality, space and perception.
