Sounds of life - how does life sound in 1626 - a plea for vitality, against violence.

For the communale oö 2026, Wolfgang Fadi Dorninger is developing "Lebensklänge", a site-specific sound work that deliberately excludes the sounds of war and violence and instead makes everyday sounds and voices of the year 1626 audible.

A concert-like sound installation is created in parish gardens, meadows and hills at original sites of the Peasants' War. The audience can linger or move freely between loudspeakers, while live mixed, alienated everyday sounds and "life" music create a gripping sound space. "Lebensklänge" invites you to experience history anew through listening.
