Sonic grandeur and fragile intimacy meet dark charm and a pinch of macabre humor - more mature, more courageous, more uncompromising. A sound between Norah Jones' intimacy, Springsteen's storytelling and the epic sound world of U2.

The singer and guitarist Peter Taucher unfold the full spectrum of their musical signature. As usual, voice and guitar meet at eye level - as equal narrators in a captivating dialog of sound. With the targeted use of electronic beats, the duo ventures into new sound dimensions and creates an impressive musical tension that raises their expressiveness to a completely new level. The result is an innovative sound that is more orchestral and in places more intimate than ever before.

For others, ams has a soulful vibe, a charismatic voice and clever lyrics in Upper Austrian dialect. ams is the singer, pianist and songwriter AnnaMaria Schnabl. She combines Upper Austrian dialect with Viennese wit in an unmistakable, ambiguous and successful way.

She performs on stages across the country and sings about things that are important to her - or that society urgently needs to reflect on musically. It's about love and contradictory expectations ('bauspoan'), about children you love even if they come from other parents ('mei bua'), about the pros and cons of God, faith and church tax ('weißes kuvert', 'Herrgott, glaubst du an di söwa?').

"The dialect is the most natural thing that comes out of me," says ams. And if you listen carefully, you will most likely find yourself in the lyrics. This is one of the most charming discoveries of the new Austropop scene.
