At the first Goisern Safety Day, the local emergency organizations join forces and provide an insight into their daily work.
From 09:00 to 15:00, the Goisern fire departments , mountain rescue, water rescue, the Red Cross and the Upper Austrian Civil Defense will present their areas of responsibility, equipment and deployment scenarios. This is not about dry theory, but about real insights.
Special attention is paid to the dialog with the population. Visitors have the opportunity to speak directly with emergency personnel, ask questions and develop a better understanding of the challenges and decisions involved in operations. This creates transparency - and strengthens long-term trust in the organizations that often function in the background as a matter of course.
There is also a clear focus on involving children and young people. They should experience at an early stage how varied and responsible the work in the security organizations is. In rural areas in particular, this is not just a side issue: the work of young people determines whether operational structures remain stable in the future.
The Security Day is therefore more than just a traditional information event. It is a deliberate sign of community, cohesion and active volunteering. At the same time, it shows how closely safety and quality of life are linked - a topic that is also becoming increasingly important in tourism habitat management.
This is an important step for the region: safety is made visible, explained in a tangible way and thought about together - for locals and guests alike.
