In Toscanapark Gmunden the Linz University of Art is creating temporary artistic works that reflect on language, space and social responsibility
The Linz University of Art is once again embarking on a summer retreat and this time it's going to be philosophical. The 6th summer retreat of the University of Art and Design Linz as part of the Salzkammergut Festival Weeks Gmunden positions itself as a contemporary exhibition and research format at the interface of art, philosophy and public space.
Temporary artistic works that reflect on language, space and social responsibility are created in Toscanapark Gmunden and the adjacent former Thomas Bernhard Archive (the Villa Stonborough-Wittgenstein). The format sets striking cultural landmarks, strengthens Gmunden as a vibrant location for contemporary art and has an impact on international discourse beyond the Traunsee region.
Once again, the University of Art and Design Linz and the Salzkammergut Festival Gmunden demonstrate their diversity and promote international exchange in the more rural regions of Upper Austria.
