Marcus Füreder, known worldwide as Parov Stelar, is one of the most successful Austrian artists of his generation. Between studio and stage, canvas and dancefloor, he creates a multi-layered cosmos of art, sound and emotion. For him, painting is a spontaneous impulse reaction - a dialog with chance. Digital sketches lead to luminous oil compositions that change in the process until a picture "looks" at him and he knows: it is complete.

Painting is his antithesis to music, the haptic to the digital world. "I paint, therefore I am", he says - painting as an existential confession. His works reflect a proximity to pop art from Warhol to Lichtenstein, while at the same time revealing inner struggles, fears and longings - visual psychograms of a seeker between sound and color.

Born in Upper Austria, he studied painting in Linz and Berlin, exhibited large-format, autobiographically influenced works at the Francisco Carolinum in 2021 and shows that Parov Stelar is constantly reinventing himself - between beat and brushstroke, euphoria and melancholy.
