Lecture by Arianna Moroder, Lottozero, Prato/IT, Textiles Center Haslach
In this lecture, Prato in Tuscany will be highlighted as one of the most important textile production locations in Europe. The city can look back on a long textile tradition and is known in particular for its unique expertise in wool recycling. This is still a key unique selling point today and makes Prato a living laboratory for circular textile production.
Lottozero functions as a creative textile center that offers designers and artists space to try out artisanal textile processes and experience Prato's specific recycling landscape first-hand.
The Prato Textile Museum is dedicated to researching and communicating local textile history, focusing on the traditional yet innovative craft of wool recycling.
During the lecture, a representative of Lottozero will present this special form of wool recycling and explain the collaborations that result from it.
