Hoher Kalmberg with the Mondsee Alpine Club
Beautiful panoramic tour in Bad Goisern

Date: 05.07.2026, 07:30

The tour leads from Bad Goisern (Ramsau parking lot) via a steep forest path to the Tiefen Scharte. The route continues along a partly rocky path over the Brenntenkogel to the Niederer Kalmberg. Impressed by the Dachstein panorama, you descend a short distance, where the last longer ascent to the Hoch-Kalmberg awaits. At the Hoch-Kalmberg summit (1833 m) we can already see the Goiserer Hütte from afar, which will be our next stage stop. The rest of the descent is via the Schartenalm and the Trockentannalm back to the starting point.

Ascent: approx. 4 h (Ramsau parking lot - Tiefe Scharte - Niederer Kalmberg - Hoch-Kalmberg)
Descent: approx. 3 h (Hoch-Kalmberg - Goiserer Hütte - Ramsau parking lot)
Total approx. 1400 hm

Only in good and safe weather conditions! Participation only with registration!

Requirements: Good physical condition for a day tour with 1400 hm. A few places where you have to use your hands and feet. The pace is designed so that everyone can keep up. New members/hikers are very welcome. AV membership required.

Registration deadline: 04.07.2026, at barbarakienberger@speed.at

Equipment: Mountain equipment for a one-day tour: sturdy mountain boots, sun and rain protection, food and drink (refreshments only possible towards the end of the tour at the Goiserer Hütte).
