Over the course of many years, Micheldorf-based artist Christina Reichsthalerhas developed the technique of "seismography", which visualizes movements that affect her from the environment. Two colorful triptychs on the 1st floor are in tension with the black and white graphics by Kurt Schiffel. He deals with his themes in longer series, abstracted and reduced, only a few lines describe the architecture, the rose tendril, the figure - in between and all around he leaves the space in which the stories about the pictures can unfold.
A tension that continues on the 2nd floor with further works.
Two solo exhibitions that come together
A lemniscate is a loop-like figure in the shape of a horizontal eight. Lemniscates are to be understood as two solo exhibitions that unite. LEMNISKATE #09 is the 27th exhibition in the 5-year existence of the Rathausgalerie Steyr, curated by Johannes Angerbauer.
The exhibition can be seen free of charge until June 12 in the corridors on the 1st and 2nd floors of Steyr Town Hall.
