Organic Young Plant Day 2026

The Domplatz in Linz belongs to organic hobby gardeners. Over 200 varieties of vegetable and flower plants are guaranteed to make every gardener's heart beat faster!

Our BIO AUSTRIA farmers offer...
...on this day a large variety of young vegetable plants with tomatoes, peppers and chili peppers, cucumbers, zucchini, pumpkin, eggplant and other garden classics such as lettuce, kohlrabi, kitchen and tea herbs. There are also shrubs and fruit trees. In addition to tried and tested varieties, there are many rarities and old varieties to discover.

Would you like a bag of compost?

Every visitor can take a bag of compost home with them - while stocks last. Compost is every gardener's gold - it provides the ideal basis for supplying plants with nutrients. There are also tips and tricks on how to make your own compost.

There's plenty for the children to do:

As well as shaping seedballs to make their own garden or balcony box at home bloom, our youngest visitors can make little nesting pots for beneficial insects. At the organic storytelling theater, young and old can listen to what Mira and Maxi experience on the organic farm. There are also other exciting and sporting activities.

Cozy market atmosphere:

In addition to all sorts of plants, there's also plenty to enjoy. Not only can you taste our jams, syrups and honeys, which you can take home with you, but you can also let our organic farmers spoil you with delicacies such as crispy spiral potatoes to nibble on and organic ice cream in the first rays of sunshine.

Georg Höfler accompanies our day with his melodic guitar sounds and creates the perfect background music for a relaxed market atmosphere.
