Vinegar sausage world record attempt Bad Goisern

On May 30 at midnight, six "crazy" young men will attempt to set a world record that could go down in the history books.

The aim of this world record is to prepare the world's largest vinegar sausage (EWU) and then enjoy it on Saturday.

Here are just a few of the ingredients needed to make the largest vinegar sausage:

• 2026 crackers

• 100 kg onion

• 150 jars of pickled gherkins

• 500 eggs

• 50 liters of corn oil

• 50 liters of vinegar

• 25 liters of water

• 20 liters of seed oil

• 30 kg tomatoes

• 200 kg bread

• A quantity of salt & pepper

Garnish:

• 50 glasses of silver onions

• 50 jars of pepperoni

You can watch this event from 00:00 on May 30.
Whether you want to watch it via livestream, directly in the Untersee beer tent on the screen or through the built-in Plexiglas windows in the tent.

The opening and drinks will be served from 09:30 a.m.. At 10:00 a.m., the Untersee brass band starts playing music for one and a half hours.

Thomas Scheutz and Jonas Posch and the following music groups will shorten the waiting time until the vinegar sausage is eaten (times are subject to change):

At 01:00 p.m. it will be ready, the vinegar sausage! If everything goes well, it will be ready to eat.

The EMU is placed in a stainless steel tub with a diameter of 5 meters, garnished and then handed out to visitors in portions for a voluntary donation.

All proceeds will be donated to the Fokus Mensch Bad Goisern association!
