Sonnhild Essl, Lisa Reiter: what lingers

The joint exhibition *what lingers* by Sonnhild Essl and Lisa Reiter is dedicated
the lingering effects of gestures, movement, and repetition.

What does work feel like when your hands are at rest, but the movements still echo? When past
actions persist as traces in space, in the material, and in the body?

“what lingers” refers to that lingering sensation when the body knows the movements: it describes the involuntary aftereffects of movements and rhythms long after the actual action has ceased.

Opening: October 29, 2026, 6:00 p.m.
