Jacqueline Kornmüller talks about a special house: an old fieldstone house in eastern Styria that is to be abandoned after ten lovingly designed years.

But the relationship to a home that has grown over all this time and seems almost alive cannot be dissolved so easily. The house observes, comments, contradicts - and reminds the narrator of the extent to which people and spaces are interwoven.

The reading will be accompanied by David Bergmüller, one of the most innovative lutenists of our time. His playing - described by the press as "virtuoso lyricism" and "extraordinarily subtle and intoxicating" - opens up finely nuanced sound spaces between baroque elegance and contemporary sound poetry.
