My very dear Father, Dearest Papa!
On this evening, Fritz Karl and his son Aaron Karl read from the letters between father Leopold and son Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. An extensive correspondence provides insight into both the cultural life and the inner life of the Mozart family. In his letters, Mozart almost always addresses his father as "My Dearest Papa" - "Mon très cher père" - and introduces himself as "the most obedient son".
The historically appealing intertexts and dialogues have been specially created for this program by the two renowned dramaturges Dr. Felicitas Wolf and Dr. Michaela Wolf.
The evening will be musically framed by the string quartet Sonare with early compositions by Leopold Mozart, his role models Joseph Haydn or C. P. E. Bach, the best of W.A. Mozart's quartets, as well as from his Requiem in the version by Peter Lichtenthal from 1828 and other adaptations of works by the musical genius.
