Unicycle World Championships on the Wurbauerkogel

Windischgarsten becomes the international meeting place for the unicycle elite! At the Unicycle World Championships on the Wurbauerkogel, the best athletes in the world compete in the spectacular disciplines of downhill, cross country and uphill.

The downhill and uphill competitions take place in the existing bike park on Wurbauerkogel and offer fast-paced action and impressive riding technique in an alpine setting. The area near the water reservoir at the foot of the Wurbauerkogel is a particularly attractive spectator point for visitors to experience the exciting races up close.
The cross-country competition starts in the center of Windischgarsten and takes participants up to the Wurbauerkogel and back down again over a variety of routes. The athletes have to prove themselves over a distance of approx. 15 km and 850 meters in altitude. A special highlight for guests is the run through the village, where sport and spectators come together.
The start and finish area on the market square in Windischgarsten forms the lively center of the event. Visitors can expect thrilling finishes, an international atmosphere and a sporting supporting program.
