"Home Game - Brass Spectacular"

The Brass Band led by Günther Reisegger since 2020 recently achieved a sensational 5th place in the self-chosen piece at the European Brass Band Championships 2025 in Stavanger, placing them among the world’s elite. As the reigning Austrian champion, the highlight will be the EBBC 2026 in their own country – a home game at the Brucknerhaus Linz, which will be celebrated in Bad Schallerbach afterwards.

Brass Spectacular
The Brass Band Upper Austria was founded in 2002 and is a project of the Upper Austrian Music School Association. Most participants are teachers and students or orchestral musicians from Upper Austria.

Since 2020, MD Günther Reisegger has been leading the Brass Band OÖ with great commitment and participated with the band in the EBBC 2022 in Birmingham, 2024 in Palanga, and 2025 in Stavanger, where they achieved the sensational 5th place in the self-chosen piece, landing right in the world’s elite. As the reigning Austrian champion, the highlight will be the EBBC 2026 in their own country at the Brucknerhaus Linz. Günther Reisegger has already won the Austrian Nationals 3 times (2022, 2023, 2024)

Furthermore, fantastic concerts are planned in 2026, in Ossiach, Innsbruck, Linz, Salzburg, and indeed in Bad Schallerbach with the program "Home Game – Brass Spectacular" where the band will premiere several commissioned compositions and present outstanding soloists.
