Love! (first of all yourself)
An evening with Stefan Jürgens is essentially a total work of art. The actor, songwriter, and entertainer offers his audience a constant interplay of highly emotional songs with fantastic lyrics, profound poetry, biting stand-up comedy, and a soothing self-irony. As a founding member of the legendary RTL Saturday Night, TATORT, and SOKO WIEN/DONAU commissioner, as well as a theater actor and musician with seven solo albums, Stefan Jürgens masterfully and joyfully draws from all his rich experiences from over 30 years during his stage performance.
Love! Is his antidote in an increasingly serious time. Love! and also love yourself! In times of general readiness for action, Jürgens prefers to find his way back to the inner child's room, where laughter resides and the spirit of adventure lives. As his self-ironic excursions into his now 60-year biography show, he never intended to grow up anyway. Because when it comes to true masculinity, Jürgens certainly has his own views.
Here stands a person on stage who is very familiar with the low points of everyday life and yet does not shy away from the very big feelings. His songs are anthems to life, touching and enticing his audience towards optimism and a zest for life. Stefan Jürgens is accompanied by Matthias Kahra (git, voc). Look forward to the upcoming performances after the successful tours “what counts” and “so many colors”: “Loving!” Enjoy a special, human evening. It will do you good. Promise.
Stefan Jürgens
Stefan Jürgens (* February 26, 1963, in Unna) completed a three-and-a-half-year training as an actor at the Westphalian Acting School in Bochum from 1983 to 1986.
After that, he had engagements at the Schauspielhaus Bochum, the Theater Dortmund, the Theater des Westens in Berlin, the Bremen Theater at Goetheplatz, and Schauspiel Köln, until he gained nationwide fame in 1993 with the legendary comedy show RTL Saturday Night. The television show aired from 1993 to 1998 and is still considered the most successful German comedy show.
Afterward, he played the Berlin Tatort commissioner Robert Hellmann in six episodes and appeared in numerous national and international TV and film productions before he took over the lead role of Carl Ribarski in the German-Austrian production Soko Wien/Donau from 2007 to 2021.
In addition to acting, Stefan Jürgens is also pursuing a career as a songwriter and musician. Since 2002, he has released seven solo albums. After his successful concert evenings “what counts” and “so many colors”, he will go on tour in 2025 with “LOVE” in Germany and Austria.
For his performances, the actor and musician has received prestigious awards. These include the Bavarian Television Award, the Bambi, the Golden Lion, and the Austrian Romy. For his portrayal of General Harras in Carl Zuckmayer’s “The Devil's General,” he received the Austrian Nestroy Theater Prize in 2022.
“…you wonder why the 60-year-old took so long to make his appearance. As a thoughtful songwriter with fantastic lyrics and an impressive sense for fine melodies, he knows how to convince and inspire.” — Bonner Generalanzeiger
“The artistic package of Jürgens also includes his art on the piano. How he accompanies his singing on the 88 keys places him on a level with the great Konstantin Wecker...” — Siegener Rundschau
