May concerts of the Linz Magistratsmusik

The "Magistratsmusik der Stadt Linz" is a municipal music ensemble consisting of nine musicians and, under the direction of bandmaster Christian Pirklbauer, provides an appealing musical backdrop for official celebrations of the city

Every year in May, Magistratsmusik opens the "Word & Sound" series of events, which invites you to concerts in the open air in the Linz Botanical Garden.

The program includes a colorful mix of traditional folk music and modern light music.

The Magistratsmusik concerts only take place in fine weather!
Ticket sales only on the day of the event.
No seat reservations; limited number of seats, please bring your own seat if necessary.
