Summer In The City — Summer Hits from Baroque to Present
In its new special program "Summer In The City," the Feuerbach Quartet creates a holiday atmosphere. Tailored for summer festivals and open-air concerts, the Feuerbach Quartet dedicates itself in its refreshingly cheeky way to the summer hits of the last decades — yes, even centuries. Thus, “I’m Walking On Sunshine” meets the baroque fireworks music of G. F. Handel, George Harrison’s “Here Comes The Sun” is translated to Rammstein’s “Hier kommt die Sonne” — and Antonio Vivaldi’s “Four Seasons” has a summer rendezvous with Joe Cocker and the Lovin’ Spoonfuls.

Feuerbach Quartet
Founded in 2013, the Feuerbach Quartet is now almost synonymous with innovative adaptations of sophisticated, modern rock and pop music for classical string quartet.

What started as an idea has now become truly a sensation on the concert stages of Europe with more than 100 engagements each year. There are no inhibitions in the classical concert hall, nor at pop open airs, not at the industry gala, and not in the small socio-cultural center...

The Feuerbach Quartet manages like no other ensemble to directly transfer its passion and joy for music to the audience.

“With cheeky pizzicatos, as refined as they are clever arrangements, and an incredible joy of playing, the quartet succeeds in giving the songs its very own and unmistakable sound" — Crescendo
