Death Positive. People always die

And yet we like to push it far away from us. This exhibition brings it right into the center - gently, confrontationally, humorously and radically honestly. Because we all have to die. So let's talk about it before it's too late.

How do we deal with death as a society - and how do we deal with it personally? What has changed, what is suppressed, what remains? From taboos to the new culture of mourning, from traditions to unusual trends in the funeral industry. Linz also has its own stories and places of death - famous, touching, special. Installations, objects and works of art from the collection and on loan create spaces for collective reflection, empathy and pause.

Death has many faces. In this show we get close to them. Without fear. With respect. With curiosity. And perhaps with an unexpected smile. An exhibition that lives. And tells of dying.
