"Die Egerländer Musikanten - das Original" are celebrating their 70th anniversary in 2026. On their big anniversary tour, they not only have decades of musical history in their luggage - but also a new musical director. Alexander Wurz is leading the Egerländer tradition into the future with a fresh sound and his own signature style. And even if the "Original Egerländer Musikanten" are constantly reinventing themselves, the orchestra stands like no other for musical continuity, precision craftsmanship and brass music of the very highest standard.

Since being founded by Ernst Mosch in 1956, the "Original Egerländer Musikanten" have made a name for themselves worldwide. Over the last 25 years, Ernst Hutter has led the orchestra into the 21st century with his own arrangements and a new generation of soloists, paving the way with his "Egerländer", his perseverance and his visions for the enthusiasm for brass music that can be felt everywhere in all generations today.
