On the Road
The Cuban star pianist Marialy Pacheco comes to Bad Schallerbach for the first time! With the program “On the Road,” she presents a musical journey through Latin America, the exact course of which she adapts to the mood and atmosphere of the evening. The audience can expect a mixture of original compositions and her own arrangements of Latin American composers, such as Ernesto Lecuona, Antonio Rumeo, or Moises Simons, all played in a jazzy, Latin American style and moderated by Marialy Pacheco.

Marialy Pacheco won the already 15-year-old Montreux Solo Piano Competition in 2012 as the first woman. The jury chairman Leszek Mozdzer stated: “Deciding between the three contenders was tough. In the end, the contestants’ joy in performing and her authenticity guided our decision making.”
