Emotionally poignant, yet certainly humorous, with many songs from famous films, Chris Pichler plays the phenomenal career of a willful comedienne who wanted to make something great out of her life and broke between naive euphoria and stark naked despair, even though she simply wanted to be loved, unconditionally and forever.

This solo piece follows Marilyn Monroe in the footsteps of her life and makes her and all her contradictions and volatility tangible. Determined and doubtful, desired and deeply lonely, celebrated and abused. We mainly know her radiant laughter, but do we hear her crying at night? Where are the images of her tyrannizing directors or lying half-naked in delirium? Where is the film producer in a male-dominated industry? Do we know her as the courageous woman who stood up to the McCarthy hearings? And do we remember the girl Norma Jean, running on the beach with flowing hair, filled with happiness, full of inner lostness, always searching for happiness?

After her sensitive solo pieces "Romy Schneider – Two Faces of a Woman" and "Jackie Kennedy", "Sissi – Empress of Hearts" where she thrilled audiences on stages in Germany (Berliner Ensemble, Hamburger Schauspielhaus, Frankfurt, Cologne), Paris, Austria, and Switzerland, the versatile actress Chris Pichler has once again managed to approach one of the great legends. With her unique expressiveness and the aim to capture the inner depth of this person, she now captivates the audience in the role of the great Marilyn Monroe.
